Pyramids winger Ramadan Sobhi could be available for selection with his ban set to be lifted according to media reports.
The 27-year-old has been suspended since April by the Anti-Doping Organization after testing positive for a doping examination.
As a result, he also had to withdraw from the Egyptian national team squad led by Hossam Hassan during the last international break.
Local reports have now revealed that Sobhi could be back again for Pyramids after appealing the decision.
The winger scored 4 goals and had 3 assists in 14 League games this season so his return will be welcomed by Pyramids specially with Ibrahim Adel on Olympic duty with the Egyptian National team.
His potential return will represent a boost to Pyramids’ title bid after suffering their first defeat since November 2023, losing 3-2 to rivals Al Ahly last week.
However, Pyramids still lead the league table with 68 points from 28 games with Al Ahly closing in having taken 63 points from 25 games.
Both clubs are set to meet again this month on July 22nd in what could be considered a title-deciding game.
