Sadio Mane is reportedly frustrated after being offered to Ittihad Jeddah without his knowledge and wants to remain at Al-Nassr.

Tensions have been rising in Al-Nassr after their recent loss against rivals Al-Hilal in the Saudi Super Cup final and could part ways with Sadio Mane after a reported rift with Cristiano Ronaldo.

According to Saudi reports, Al-Nassr offered Sadio Mane to Ittihad Jeddah on a one-season loan; however, both teams are yet to reach an agreement on the financial package.

The Tigers offered to cover only €5m from the Senegalese star’s €40m salary as per Arriyadiyah, while Al-Nassr want Ittihad to cover at least half of his salary instead.

The report added that as Mane is one of the foreign players under the Saudi Pro League’s recruitment program, if he moves to Ittihad, they won’t cover his salary anymore and Al-Nassr won’t be compensated with another world-class winger or be provided with financial support to secure a replacement for the Senegalese.

Moreover, Sadio Mane is angry at the fact that he is being offered to Ittihad Jeddah without his approval as he is happy in Riyadh and wants to stay at Al-Nassr.

Mane was recommended to Ittihad by the club’s star Karim Benzema, who urged the board to bring in the former Liverpool winger as he believes his addition will help them challenge for the league title.

After a disastrous title-defending campaign where they finished fifth last season, Ittihad are trying to rebuild their squad, having already completed the signings of AS Roma midfielder Houssem Aouar and Aston Villa star Moussa Diaby.
