Zamalek star Ahmed Sayed Zizo has confirmed he will remain with the club for the upcoming season.
The 28-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from Zamalek this summer, with Saudi club NEOM and Qatari outfit Al Arabi both bidding for him.
Zizo’s contract with Zamalek runs out by the end of the upcoming season, allowing him to sign for any club on a free transfer next January.
However, Zizo has confirmed he isn’t leaving the club for the foreseeable future through a post on his official Instagram account.
In the post, Zizo said: ” Zamalek is more than a club, it is a family. Your passion and loyalty have shown to me what it means to truly belong.
“I am here to stay, not for anything, but for you, the fans who make every matchday special.”
He then finished his message by asking the Zamalek fans to keep backing him and thanking them for their unlimited belief in him.
It’s yet to be seen now whether Zamalek will manage to reach an agreement with their star player over a new deal in the upcoming few weeks.
