Egyptian giants Zamalek have announced their 31-man squad for the upcoming CAF Confederation Cup and CAF Super Cup.
Zamalek will face Kenyan club Police FC in the CAF Confederation Cup round of 32, with the first leg on September 13 in Kenya and the return leg on September 20 in Cairo.
The Whites will also face Al Ahly in the CAF Super Cup on September 27. The Cairo Derby will take place at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
According to the club’s announcement, the squad will include four goalkeepers, ten defenders, thirteen midfielders, and four forwards. Below is the full squad list:
Goalkeepers: Mohamed Awad, Mohamed Sobhy, Mahmoud El Shenawy and Omar Abdelaziz.
Defenders: Mahmoud Hamdy “El Wensh”, Ahmed Fetouh, Omar Gaber, Hossam Abdelmeguid, Mostafa El Zenary, Hamza El Mathlouthy, Ahmed Mahmoud, Hassan Abou El Maaty, Mahmoud Bentayg and Ahmed Magdy.
Midfielders: Abdallah El Said, Nasser Maher, Shikabala, Ahmed Hamdy, Ahmed Sayez Zizo, Nabil Emad “Dunga”, Ziad Kamal, Mohamed Shehata, Mostafa Shalaby, Ahmed Abdelrehim, Sayed Abdallah “Neymar”, Mohamed Atef and Mohamed El Sayed.
Forwards: Naser Maher, Samson, Hossam Ashraf and Seifeddine Jaziri.
The club’s latest signing, Mahmoud Bentayeg will not be able to join the team for the CAF Confederation Cup round of 32 tie against Kenyan club Police FC. However, he will be eligible to play in the CAF Super Cup showdown against Al Ahly. It’s important to note that players registered by September 12, 2024, will also be able to participate in the CAF Super Cup.
