Pyramids’ South African striker Fagrie Lakay has refused to join Ceramica Cleopatra as part of the Sadi Owujoola deal.
Lakay was supposed to be one of the players going on loan to Ceramica Cleopatra as part of the Sadiq Owujoola deal.
Pyramids FC and Ceramica Cleopatra had initially agreed on a major swap deal, that would see Awujoola join Pyramids and Fagrie Lakay, Mohamed Reda, Youssef Nabih, and Abdallah Magdy the other way around.
However, the South African striker and Youssef Ossama Nabih have turned down the move, which now halted the deal.
Lakay reportedly won’t accept the move until he receives his full salary for the next season, believed to be around $600,000, which Cleopatra FC think is excessive and turned down.
The South African international joined Pyramids in January 2022 from Cape Town City, scoring 32 goals and assisting 10 in 115 games across all competitions.
Lakay played a massive role in guiding Pyramids to their first-ever trophy, starting in the Egypt Cup final win over ZED FC last month.
