Mauritania National Team coach Amir Abdou has announced a 26-player squad for their upcoming AFCON qualifiers against Egypt.
The Pharaohs will play against Mauritania in Cairo on October 7 before playing the return leg in Nouakchott on October 11.
Egypt currently sit top of group C with six points from their opening two games, and a double win over Mauritania would seal their spot in the 2025 AFCON in Morocco.
Meanwhile, Al-Murabitun have just three points from their opening two games and would need a strong showing against Egypt to boost their qualification chances.
The most notable names in the squad are AEK Athens’ winger Aboubakary Koita and Ex-Fulham striker Aboubakar Kamara.
