Mohamed Sherif: I have offers from Egypt and Gulf clubs

Egyptian striker Mohamed Sherif who plays for Saudi club Al Khaleej claimed that he has offers from Egyptian and Gulf clubs.

Speaking to Al Ahly TV, the striker said “I have been injured but I will return in two weeks.

“The Saudi Pro League is exciting and intense. Outside of the big four -Ahli Jeddah, Al Hilal, Al Nassr, and Ittihad Jeddah-, all teams’ levels are close. You can beat a strong team away from home and lose to a weak team at home.

“I am not the one who says the Saudi League is stronger than the Egyptian League. Every team here has eight foreigners, and the pitches and the environment are different. The Saudi league is very strong.

“My contract with Al Khaleej ends in January and I will be a free agent. People here are very respectful and I will respect my contract with them.

“I did not leave Al Ahly because of money. I wanted to play and I wanted to leave while being the team top scorer because it is better than leaving when I am not playing.

“My agent tells me that there are multiple offers from Egyptian and top clubs but my priority is Al Ahly. Wessam Abo Ali had a very good start and I wish him luck.”
