The EFA has decided to suspend the refereeing crew from Zamalek’s recent match against Bank El Ahly pending an investigation.

According to reports, the Egyptian Football Association has referred the officiating team to its legal department following complaints about their controversial decisions during the game.

The referees awarded three penalties in total, two for Bank El Ahly and one for Zamalek in the final minute, which secured a 3-2 victory for the White Knights and three points.

After the match, both clubs submitted complaints following these questionable decisions. The referees will reportedly remain suspended until the investigation concludes, with no set date for their return.
