Egyptian winger Mahmoud Trezeguet may return to Trabzonspor next summer following his loan spell at Al Rayyan.
Trabzonspor’s attacking struggles this season have led to calls for Trezeguet’s early return. However, Al Rayyan is unwilling to terminate the loan in January, meaning the winger could only rejoin Trabzonspor in the summer. Trezeguet remains under contract with the Turkish club until 2026.
This season, Trezeguet has played 10 matches with Al Rayyan, contributing two goals and two assists. Meanwhile, Trabzonspor sits in 13th place in the Turkish League, managing just 12 goals from 11 games, which is why the club might attempt to bring the Egyptian winger back to Turkey in January.
During his time in Turkey, the 30-year-old scored 25 goals and provided 16 assists in 76 appearances, lifting the Turkish Super Cup in the process.
