Jose Riveiro has admitted that Al Ahly are the favorites to finish at the top of Group C in the CAF Champions League.
In an interview with SABC Sport, the Spanish coach remarked, “I think it is early to predict, but it is clear that Al Ahly is favorite to top the group whichever group they are playing in.”
Riveiro added, “We are playing against Al Ahly in our next game at home, and we will try to make Orlando’s pitch as difficult as possible for all teams.”
Riveiro concluded, “We will play against tough teams, and we will try to deal with each game by itself.”
Orlando Pirates defeated CR Belouizdad 2-1 away in Algeria, while Al Ahly secured a 4-2 win against Stade d’Abidjan.
The clash between the two sides will take place on December 7, at 3 PM Cairo time in Johannesburg.
