Ibrahim Adel Getafe

Getafe long time target Ibrahim Adel reportedly unlikely to leave Pyramids unless the Spanish club improve their offer.

Ibrahim Adel has been on Getafe’s radar for over a year. The 23-year-old gained significant attention during the Tokyo Olympics, where he impressed with his performances for the Egyptian national team.

Before being eliminated in the semifinals, the Egyptians defeated Spain in the group stage, with Ibrahim Adel scoring twice. He also netted in the quarterfinals, bringing his Olympic tally to three goals.

According to Spanish outlet, Relevo, Getafe recently submitted an offer to Pyramids FC to acquire Adel on loan until the end of the season for €150,000. The proposal also included an option to buy for over €2.5 million and a clause granting Pyramids 40% of any future transfer fee for the player.

However, Pyramids FC rejected the offer outright. The Egyptian club was already reluctant to let one of their main players leave, and the financial terms proposed by Getafe fell far below their expectations.

Furthermore, a source close to the Egyptian club reportedly clarified that the offer from Getafe is the only official bid received for Ibrahim Adel so far, brushing off recent rumors suggesting that Wolverhampton Wanderers and Club Brugge had also submitted offers for the Egyptian winger.

While Ibraim Adel is eager to make the leap to Europe before the transfer window closes, as things stand, the move appears highly unlikely.
