Mohamed Elneny has been awarded the UAE Pro League’s Player of the Month for April, capping off an impressive run of form with Al Jazira.
The Egyptian midfielder beat out competition from Joao Pedro (Al Wasl), Saeed Ezatolahi (Shabab Al Ahli), Tarik Tissoudali (Khorfakkan), and Alaa Zuhair (Al Wahda) to claim the award.
In its official announcement, the UAE Pro League praised Elneny’s “strong performances and vast experience” for his standout displays throughout the month.

Mohamed Elneny joined Al Jazira at the start of the 2024/25 season after an eight-year stint at Arsenal and has since become an important figure in the Emirati side’s midfield. So far this season, he has featured in 29 matches across all competitions, scoring once and providing three assists, while simultaneously obtaining his UEFA A coaching license.
Al Jazira won the ADIB Cup earlier this month, despite their inconsistent league play. They currently sit seventh in the league table with 32 points from 22 rounds.
The 32-year-old began his career at Egyptian club Al Mokawloon before moving to FC Basel, where he made his mark in the Swiss Super League. He then transferred to Arsenal in 2016, with a loan spell at Beşiktaş along the way, before making the switch to Abu Dhabi.
