Former Al Ahly defender and new signing Ramy Rabia featured from the start for Al Ain and played the full 90 minutes. However, it was a difficult night for the Emirati side, who were overwhelmed by Juventus’ attacking prowess.
The scoring began early, with Randal Kolo Muani heading home a pinpoint cross in the 11th minute. Ten minutes later, Francisco Conceicao doubled the lead after Alberto Costa capitalized on a poor pass from Ramy Rabia, registering his second assist of the night.
Before the end of the first half, Kenan Yildiz added a third with a long-range strike and Kolo Muani grabbed his second just before the whistle, the brace was assisted by Khephren Thuram, joining Alberto Costa in registering two assists.
Early in the second half, Al Ain thought they had pulled one back almost immediately, with Rabia finding the net, only for the goal to be ruled out for an offside on the previous play.
Shortly after, Juventus scored the fifth and final goal of the night after Francisco Conceicao slotted home with a low shot in the 58th minute, earning his second goal of the match.
The result puts Juventus level on points with Manchester City, who beat Wydad Casablanca 2-0. However, the Bianconero hold the advantage on goal difference.
Juventus will face Wydad next on Sunday, while Al Ain are set to take on Manchester City in a clash that will see Egyptian internationals Omar Marmoush and Ramy Rabia go head to head.
