Al Ahly have officially confirmed that they have responded to Saudi club Al-Okhdood’s recent interest in signing Egyptian midfielder Emam Ashour.
In an official statement, Al Ahly revealed that the club has sent an official letter to Al-Okhdood requesting clarification on the financial terms of any proposed offers for the player.
“This comes in response to a previous letter from the Saudi side expressing their interest in acquiring the remaining duration of Emam Ashour’s contract,” the statement read.
However, the statement also clarified that as of now, Al Ahly have not received a reply from the Saudi club regarding the financial details.
Emam Ashour is currently recovering after suffering a fractured collarbone injury in the FIFA Club World Cup’s opener against Inter Miami. The club is currently in its off-season period but is expected to resume pre-season training in the coming weeks ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
