Zamalek

Zamalek have officially announced the contract renewal of veteran midfielder Abdallah El-Said, who has signed a two-year extension.

Abdallah El-Said, 40, put pen to paper during a meeting with the club’s sporting director, with both parties reaching a full agreement on the terms of the new deal.

The extension comes as part of Zamalek’s broader strategy to strengthen the squad ahead of a demanding season in which the club aims to compete for all available titles. Abdallah El-Said had joined Zamalek in the 2024 January transfer window as a 38-year-old.

The official announcement was accompanied by a video shared by the White Knights, in which the player’s teammates and newly appointed head coach Yannick Ferrera praised El-Said’s influence on the team.

“Leader by example,” Ferrera said. “He’s always doing his best in training, inspiring the younger generation, and he’s one of the players with the best physical numbers in training. That’s why I chose leader by example.”

Abdallah El-Said’s renewal certainly brings valuable experience on the pitch as Zamalek look to build a balanced squad capable of reclaiming domestic and continental glory.
