Mohamed Salah has been named among the 26 nominees for the 2025 FIFPRO Men’s World 11 following a standout campaign.
Despite his incredible numbers year after year, Salah has astonishingly never been selected in the final FIFPRO World 11. This year, though, his case is difficult to ignore.
The Egyptian is joined on the shortlist by teammates Alisson Becker and Virgil van Dijk, and former teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold, marking the Reds’ strong representation after a dominant domestic season.
The process is based on votes from over 26,000 professional footballers, making it the only football award decided exclusive by football players. So far, 26 finalists have been announced.
Last season, Salah racked up 29 goals and 18 assists, outperforming every player in Europe’s top five leagues in combined goal contributions. His output was 11 clear of the next-best player.
The Egyptian national team skipper is joined by Achraf Hakimi as the only African representations on the list. Notable features include Ousmanne Dembele, Erling Haaland, Lionel Messi, and Lamine Yamal.

With voting based on performances from last season, Salah will be hoping this is finally the year his consistency and production earn him a long overdue place in the FIFPRO 11.
The final XI will be unveiled on November 3rd.
