Mohamed Salah’s curling finish against Galatasaray has won Liverpool’s Goal of the Month award for March. Salah topped the fan vote on the club’s official website. Dominik Szoboszlai’s free-kick against Tottenham Hotspur finished second.
The Egyptian scored the goal in Liverpool’s 4-0 win over Galatasaray at Anfield in the Champions League round of 16 on March 18. The strike also marked his 50th goal in the competition, making him the first African player to reach that total.
The Reds overturned a first-leg deficit with the win and advanced to the quarter-finals with a 4-1 aggregate victory. Mohamed Salah completed the scoring for Liverpool with a curling effort from the edge of the area.
