Liverpool named Mohamed Salah fourth in the club’s all-time greatest players after a nine-year spell at the Merseyside.
Liverpool have ranked Mohamed Salah fourth in their all-time greatest players list, placing the Egyptian forward behind Steven Gerrard, Kenny Dalglish, and Ian Rush.
Earlier this week, the club announced Salah’s position in its “Liverpool’s Greatest,” listing his record at 442 appearances, 257 goals, and eight major trophies between 2017 and 2026.
The Egyptian forward was ranked ahead of John Barnes, who made the top five.
Liverpool said Salah’s nine years at Anfield placed him among the club’s leading figures after he became the club’s third-highest scorer of all time, as well as their record scorer in European competition and in the Premier League.
Salah joined Liverpool from AS Roma in 2017 for a fee of just under £40 million and scored 44 goals in his first season, the second-highest single-season total in the club’s history.
He was part of Liverpool’s Champions League-winning side in 2019, scoring an early penalty in the final against Tottenham Hotspur, and helped the club win the Premier League in 2019-20, ending a 30-year wait for a league title.
Salah also contributed to Liverpool’s second Premier League title in 2024-25, finishing that campaign with 47 league goal involvements, 29 goals, and 18 assists.
His trophy list with Liverpool includes the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, two Premier League titles, two League Cups, and one FA Cup.
Salah left Anfield after the 2025-26 season as one of Liverpool’s defining players of the modern era.
