Pyramids FC defender Osama Galal has signed a long-term contract extension, the club confirmed on Monday evening.
Galal’s contract at Pyramids was set to expire at the end of the current season, with a number of clubs reportedly monitoring the centre-back’s status.
However, the 26-year-old ended all exit rumours after putting pen to paper on a long-term deal to stay at the club beyond the summer.
“I am happy to renew my contract with Pyramids and I am proud to play here,” Galal told the Pyramids’ account on X. “I feel comfortable among my colleagues and the Pyramids family.
“We were unfortunate not to achieve a number of titles but we aim to compete for the league title this season.”
It’s worth noting that Galal was initially called up to the Egypt squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations two months ago but missed out due to a knee injury.
The former ENPPI man has made 12 appearances so far this campaign as Pyramids sit third in the Egyptian Premier League table with 25 points after 12 games.
