Al Ahly are set to meet Tanzanian giants Simba in the CAF Champions League quarter-finals after the latest draw.
The Red Devils made their way into the knockout stages by topping the competition’s Group D with 12 points from six games.
The draw on Tuesday revealed that Al Ahly will face a tough path to the final starting with a quarter-final tie with Simba.
The first leg will take place in Tanzania on March 29th just eight days before they meet in the return leg in Cairo.
Should the champions overcome Simba, Al Ahly will face the victor between Petro Atletico and TP Mazembe in the other fixture.
Meanwhile, Mamelodi Sundowns were drawn against Young Africans, who finished second behind Al Ahly in the group phase.
