The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) president Gamal Allam has confirmed that Mohamed Salah wants to be at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
The 2024 Olympics will kick off in the summer as Egypt were drawn with Spain and the Dominican Republic so far in Group C.
Each nation will be allowed to have up to three players over the age of 23 in the competition and the EFA were hoping to include Salah in their plans.
Gamal Allam now confirmed the winger’s desire to be part of the Olympic national team and revealed that the overage players’ list will be announced soon.
“Salah wants to play with the Olympic team and he will be there,” Allam said via France24.
“Rogero Micale [U-23 national team head coach] will soon announce the names of the three overage players participating in the Olympics.”
