Egypt international Alexander Jakobsen has completed a move to Kazakhstani outfit FC Zhenis on a free transfer.
Jakobsen last played for Georgian side Dinamo Batumi in January of 2023 after his time in the Egyptian Premier League came to an end.
The 30-year-old had also represented multiple clubs in Europe including Norway’s Bodo/Glimt as well as Norrkoping and Kalmar FF in Sweden.
His journey in Europe is now set to continue in Kazakhstan after signing a deal with FC Zhenis until the end of the calendar year.
“Attacking midfielder Alexander Jakobsen has joined the ranks of FC Zhenis. Welcome Alex!” the club said on social media.
It’s worth noting that Zhenis have had a slow start to the new Kazakhstan Premier League campaign managing just one win after four games played so far.
