Al Ahly’s volleyball team have defeated Mouloudia Sport de Bousalem 3-0 to claim the African Clubs Championship title on Tuesday.
The Red Devils produced a dominant performance when they faced Mouloudia coming out on top in all three halves with a scoreline of 25-21, 25-17, and 25-18.
The result meant that Al Ahly have now qualified for the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship set to take place in India later this year.
Additionally, the Cairo giants have now won the African Clubs Championship for the 16th time in the club’s history which is also the highest in the continent.
“We had a fantastic tournament and deserved to win the title,” head coach Fernando Monzo said after their victory over Mouludia.
“It feels great to win it in front of our fans but now we have to work hard and look forward to our next challenge.”
