African champions Al Ahly are set to battle Scottish giants Rangers for the signing of Orlando Pirates talent Relebohile Mofokeng this summer, according to reports.
The 19-year-old has impressed for the Pirates in South Africa, making 35 appearances this season despite his young age, scoring four goals and providing six assists.
Reports in South Africa have revealed that several European clubs are eyeing a move for Relebohile Mofokeng, including Scottish giants Rangers, Red Bull Salzburg, and Wolverhampton, with the latter even inviting the player for a trial last year.
Entering the race for his signature is also Egyptian and African giants Al Ahly who are rumoured suitors for the player as they set to extend their dominance over the titles.
The Red Devils already have South African star Percy Tau in their ranks, having also had Phakamani Mahlambi for a short spell during the 2017/18 season.
Al Ahly are understood to be set to let go of Frenchman Anthony Modeste as well as Malian midfielder Aliou Dieng in the summer, which would allow the club to sign two new foreign players to their squad.
