Ahmed Nabil Kouka’s agent, Omar Nagy, has ruled out the possibility of the player leaving Al Ahly to join Zamalek.
Speaking to MBC Masr 2, Omar Nagy explained, “Kouka received offers to play abroad after the Paris Olympics, including a loan with an option to buy. However, Al Ahly closed the door on a transfer, given his importance to the team.”
He continued, “Koller made it clear that Kouka should set aside any thoughts of leaving. Stressing that Al Ahly are set to face a busy season ahead and Kouka is one of their key players. Although the European club returned with an improved offer, Al Ahly stood firm on their decision and declined it.”
Nagy also discussed contract negotiations, “We met with Al Ahly last May to discuss our renewal terms. Their initial offer was far from what we requested and are yet to receive an improved offer. With Al Ahly’s packed schedule and Kouka’s commitments, renewal talks were delayed, though I believe his extension will be finalized soon.”
The agent concluded, “Playing for Zamalek is out of the question for Kouka. Al Ahly is everything to him. His goal is to continue his successful journey with Al Ahly and eventually move abroad to a club that believes in him.”
In 2021, Kouka was promoted to Al Ahly’s first team. Since then, he has made 64 appearances and won a total of 10 trophies with the club, two Egyptian League titles, three Egyptian Cups, three Egyptian Super Cups, and two CAF Champions League titles. Notably, he participated in the last two Cairo derbies against Zamalek, competing in both the Egyptian Super Cup and the CAF Super Cup.
