Cairo giants Al Ahly have announced French Manager Dimitri Lipoff as a manager for their newly established women’s team.
The French Manager has signed a three-year contract with Al Ahly not just training their first team but also responsible for the development of their newly established youth women teams.
The 40-year-old French manager has managed Wuhan Jianghan in China, the Napoli women’s team, and Morocco U-20 and U-23 women’s teams.
Lipoff has managed to lift three trophies in his career, winning the Chinese women’s Super League twice with Wuhan Jianghan and the second division in Italy with Napoli.
Al Ahly have decided to establish a women’s team for the first time after the Confederation of African Football (CAF) made it mandatory for the clubs participating in the CAF Inter-Club competitions to have a women’s team as part of their structure.
