Al Ahly clinched their 16th Egyptian Super Cup title with a 2-0 win over rivals Zamalek in the final held in the UAE.

From the opening whistle, Al Ahly dictated the tempo, pressing high and pinning Zamalek deep in their own half. The breakthrough came just before halftime, when former Zamalek forward Achraf Bencharki controlled a low cross from Ahmed Zizo and fired a brilliant finish past Mohamed Awad to give the Red Devils a 1-0 lead in the 44th minute.

Zamalek made three changes at the break, introducing Juan Bezerra, Hossam Abdelmaguid, and Seifeddine Jaziri in a bid to reverse momentum. But it was Al Ahly who remained sharper, with Trezeguet testing Awad early in the second half, and Bencharki continuing to cause problems on the flank.

Al Ahly doubled their lead in the 72nd minute through Marwan Attia, who met Taher Mohamed Taher’s cross, putting the result beyond doubt.

Zamalek thought they had pulled one back in the 79th minute through Seifeddine Jaziri, but VAR intervened, ruling the goal out for handball. Despite late pressure from the White Knights, Al Ahly held firm to secure a comfortable win.

This victory marks Al Ahly’s sixteenth Egyptian Super Cup triumph.
