Al Ahly fine Kahraba 1 million EGP, send him back to Egypt

Al Ahly has fined their striker, Mahmoud Abdelmoneim ‘Kahraba,’ 1 million EGP and ordered his immediate return to Egypt following the match against Ceramica Cleopatra.

In an official statement, the club announced that sporting director Mohamed Ramadan imposed the fine and instructed Kahraba to return to Egypt, barring him from continuing in the Egyptian Super Cup.

According to reports, the suspension was triggered after Kahraba refused to shake hands with head coach Marcel Koller, upset over not playing in the match.

His actions led to an intervention by sporting director Ramadan, which escalated when Kahraba shouted at both Koller and Ramadan, resulting in his immediate suspension.

Al Ahly won the Egyptian Super Cup semi-final against Ceramica Cleopatra 2-1 and will face Zamalek in the final on Thursday, October 24 at 8 PM CET, with the trophy at stake.
