Egyptian and African champions Al Ahly have been nominated for two prestigious honors at the upcoming Globe Soccer Awards.

The Globe Soccer Awards selection process involves two stages: an initial round of public voting to determine the finalists, followed by a final decision made through a combination of public votes and input from a jury of football professionals, including journalists, agents, coaches, and ex-players.

Al Ahly is a contender for the Best Men’s Club award, competing against nine other clubs, including European champions Real Madrid and Asian champions Al Ain.

Additionally, the Red Devils have been shortlisted for the Best Middle East Club award, where they will face competition from Saudi clubs Al Hilal and Al Nassr, as well as UAE’s Al Ain

These nominations come at the back of an impressive season for Al Ahly, during which they secured the Egyptian Premier League title, claimed the CAF Champions League trophy without a single defeat, and finished third at the FIFA Club World Cup.

The Red Devils also won the Best Middle East Club award last year and will aim to add more accolades to their storied history in this year’s ceremony.

The jury for the 15th edition of the awards includes football legends such as Francesco Totti, Iker Casillas, Eric Abidal, Ian Rush, Luis Figo, Antonio Conte, Fabio Capello, Deco, Gennaro Gattuso, and current Barcelona star Alexia Putellas.

The 15th edition of the ceremony will be held on December 27 in Dubai.
