Percy Tau

Al Ahly have reportedly agreed to part ways with South African forward Percy Tau following disagreements over a contract extension.

Percy Tau was initially set to sign a three-year contract extension with Al Ahly, which would have made him the highest-paid player on the African continent. However, Al Ahly later reconsidered their offer, opting instead to sell the player.

When efforts to negotiate revised contract terms fell through, the club reportedly decided to terminate Tau’s contract altogether.

According to South African journalist Karabo Phasha, both parties have now agreed to this termination, allowing Al Ahly to free up space for a potential new foreign signing.

This decision has reportedly put Kaizer Chiefs on high alert, with the South African club showing interest in securing Tau’s signature should he become available on a free transfer. The forward’s next move remains uncertain, but his departure from the Red Devils seems to be confirmed.
