CAF has approved a request made by Al Ahly to receive their league title after their Champions League match against Gor Mahia.
The Egyptian champions made this request to celebrate the title with their fans and the entire squad present.
Al Ahly’s request was granted by CAF, allowing them to receive the trophy from the Egyptian FA following the game.
This ceremony will take place a bit over a month after Al Ahly clinched their record 44th league title by defeating Smouha 1-0 on August 8.
The African champions are set to face Gor Mahia on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 9 PM CET.
The Cairo giants already hold a strong advantage, having won the first leg 3-0 in Kenya.
