Al Ahly have officially ended their contract with Mahmoud Trezeguet by mutual agreement, clearing the winger to complete a move to Al Riyadh.
Al Ahly have terminated Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet’s contract by mutual agreement, clearing the Egypt international to complete his expected move to Saudi Pro League club Al Riyadh.
The Cairo giants said the decision followed “amicable discussions and a financial settlement reflecting the exceptional relationship between the player and the club,” without disclosing the terms of the settlement.
Similarly, the 31-year-old later thanked the club’s board and officials for their support and expressed his appreciation to Al Ahly’s supporters.
Al Riyadh have been negotiating with the winger and Al Ahly during the summer transfer window. Earlier reports said the Saudi club wanted to sign him on a two-year contract.
Trezeguet returned to Al Ahly in 2025 after playing in Europe and the Gulf. He had previously come through the club’s academy before leaving Egypt in 2015.
