During his pre-match press conference, the Dutch manager said that Salah is working hard to recover quickly and noted that the forward typically returns faster than other players from minor injuries. He added that Liverpool needs him back before the end of the campaign.
On Wednesday, Liverpool confirmed that the forward’s injury is a minor muscle issue. The club expects Salah to play again before the season ends.
The 33-year-old had to leave the field during the second half of Liverpool’s 3-1 win over Crystal Palace at Anfield. Initially, there were concerns he might have played his final match for the Reds as the Egypt international plans to depart Liverpool this summer.
