Al Ahly’s star Mohamed Abdelmonem has attracted interest from French giants AS Monaco as well as Turkey’s Galatasaray, according to reports.
Abdelmonem continues to garner interest from Europe, having already been linked with moves to French side FC Nantes as well as several English clubs.
The 25-year-old is regarded as one of the best center-backs in Africa, helping his side Al Ahly lift the CAF Champions League last season, and has a chance to win it back-to-back against Espérance this year.
And it seems like the speculation over his future is not ending any time soon as French reports have now revealed that Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco as well as Galatasaray of Turkey have made their interest clear.
As per Foot Mercato, Abdelmonem is keen to leave for Europe this summer and both Galatasaray and Monaco have been made aware of this.
Coached by Adi Hütter, Monaco have secured a spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League after finishing second in Ligue 1 behind PSG, and have several well-known names in their defence, including Thilo Kehrer, Mohamed Salisu, and Guillermo Maripán.
Meanwhile, Galatasaray currently sit top of the Turkish Super Lig and need just one point from their remaining two games in order to clinch the league title for the 24th time.
