Omar Marmoush, Mahmoud Hassan ‘Trezeguet,’ and Marwan Ateya will not travel with the Egyptian National Team for their match against Cape Verde.
Head coach Hossam Hassan has chosen to leave out Ateya and Trezeguet, as both are suspended and ineligible to play.
Meanwhile, Marmoush has been rested to avoid the risk of injury, given the match will be played on artificial turf and his heavy workload this season.
On another hand, the National Team manager has opted not to risk Marmoush. This is due to the game being played on artificial grass and the amount of games the Egyptian forward already played this season.
The trio is expected to return for Egypt’s final AFCON qualifier against Botswana in Cairo on 19 November.
Egypt will face Cape Verde on 15 November before concluding their qualifiers against Botswana. The team has already secured its spot in the 2025 AFCON, winning all four of their group matches.
