In their first match under new head coach Rogério Micale, the team played to a goalless draw in their preparations for the U-20 AFCON.

Rogerio Micale used two different lineups across both halves of the match.

First-Half XI

  • Defense: Mohamed Ibrahim, Abdallah Boustongi, Moataz Mohamed, Mahmoud Labib
  • Midfield: Ahmed Khaled “Kabaka,” Mohamed El-Sayed, Fares Khaled
  • Attack: Hossam Hassan, Mohamed Zallouk, Omar Khadr

Second-Half XI

  • Goalkeeper: Ahmed Wahb
  • Defense: Ahmed Abdeen, Ziad Khaled, Mohamed Samir, Mahmoud Labib
  • Midfield: Seif Essam, Ahmed Eid, Marwan Khaled
  • Attack: Ahmed Sharaf, Omar Fathy, Mohannad Mohamed

The Pharaohs dominated most of the match, creating multiple scoring chances, but failed to score.

In attendance were board member Helmy Mashhour and executive director Walid El-Attar.

This friendly match comes three weeks into Micale’s tenure, as Egypt gears up for the North African qualifiers, scheduled from November 14 to 26.

In addition to Egypt, the upcoming qualifiers will feature Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, and Libya.
