Ahmed Fetouh, has personally visited the family of Ahmed El-Sayed, who was tragically killed in a car accident involving the footballer.
Fetouh was referred to the Criminal Court on charges of involuntary manslaughter and driving under the influence of drugs following an incident on the Cairo-Alexandria Desert Road where he struck a police officer with his car, resulting in the officer’s death.
Earlier in September, Fetouh was released on bail, with his trial adjourned until October 22nd, as he also returned to the Zamalek training yesterday.
In a statement shared on his official Facebook page, Fetouh’s lawyer, Ashraf Abdel Aziz, explained: “Today, I accompanied Ahmed Fetouh to visit the family of the late Ahmed El-Sayed El-Shabaki to offer our deepest condolences for their tragic loss.”
“The family graciously accepted Fetouh’s condolences, and on behalf of myself and Ahmed, I extend our sincerest thanks and appreciation for their understanding and respect.”
Ahmed Fetouh had also issued a statement on his Instagram account, asking for forgiveness after being released on bail.
