Mohamed Salah and FC Masar goalkeeper Habiba Sabry have been named among the nominees for FIFA The Best honors after standout seasons.

Mohamed Salah has been named on the 11-man shortlist for The Best FIFA Men’s Player 2025, following a historic season in which he led Liverpool to the Premier League title and finished as both the league’s top scorer and top assist provider.

The Egyptian star will be hoping to finish higher than his 4th-place Ballon d’Or ranking, where he trailed behind Vitinha, Lamine Yamal, and Ousmane Dembélé, all of whom also appear on FIFA’s shortlist.

Salah is joined on the men’s list by Kylian Mbappé, Harry Kane, Cole Palmer, Pedri, Raphinha, Vitinha, Dembélé, Nuno Mendes, Lamine Yamal, and Achraf Hakimi.

Meanwhile, 19-year-ol Habiba Sabry has been nominated for FIFA The Best Women’s World 11 in a landmark moment for Egyptian women’s football.

Habiba Sabry made history earlier this year when was the youngest player in history to be named Best Goalkeeper in the CAF Women’s Champions League. She also helped her club clinch the 2024–25 Egyptian Women’s Premier League title while securing a third-place finish in the continental competition.

Votes from coaches, captains, journalists, and fans each will contribute to 25% to the final result.

Voting for the awards is open until Friday, November 28.
