Didi Hamann has called on Mo Salah to make a move to Bayern Munich, suggesting the Egyptian would be an exciting addition to the Bavarians.

Mohamed Salah, 32, has been a force of nature since arriving at Anfield in 2017, racking up 243 goals and 110 assists in 393 appearances. The forward has continued his exceptional form this season, making a strong case for himself to win the Ballon d’Or.

However, with just over a year left on his contract, which expires at the end of the 2024–25 season, Salah’s long-term future at Liverpool remains uncertain. That has opened the door for speculation, and Hamann believes Bayern would be a perfect fit.

“Salah in Munich would be very exciting,” Hamann told talkSPORT. “Bayern have Kingsley Coman, who hasn’t been at his best lately. Leroy Sane will probably leave the club. Their most impressive player was Michael Olise, who signed last summer. I think they need two or three new players for next season.”

Hamann, who played for both Liverpool and Bayern during his career, compared the idea to Bayern’s blockbuster signing of Harry Kane last summer.

“Just like the signing of Harry Kane, it would be very exciting to see Salah at Bayern,” he added. “But it would also be very interesting for the Bundesliga to have a player like Salah. Even if it’s only for a year or two, I would love to see it.”

While Bayern’s previous signing of a Liverpool star in Sadio Mane didn’t pan out as hoped, Hamann believes Salah could thrive in Munich.
