Ghazl El Mahalla and El Sharkia ENPPI each earned a point, while ZED beat Tala’ea El Gaish and Wadi Degla drew with Canal SC.
Ghazl El Mahalla and El Sharkia ENPPI remain without a victory after drawing 0-0 at El Mahalla Stadium on Tuesday. Both teams entered the Egyptian Premier League match after losing their opening two fixtures.
El Sharkia ENPPI created the first clear opportunity in the 16th minute. Ali Ehab struck from outside the penalty area, but Amer Amer made a strong save.
Ahmed Armousha then missed Ghazl El Mahalla’s best first-half chance. He broke through on goal in the 22nd minute before sending his shot wide.
Abdo Yehia also went close after the interval. The forward dribbled past Ahmed Kalousha in the penalty area but found the side netting.
Seif El Khashab later prevented Yehia from meeting Saidou Kibo’s cross as both sides settled for a point.
The result left El Sharkia ENPPI 18th and Ghazl El Mahalla 19th, with one point each after three matches.
Khedr Strike Gives ZED First Win
Omar Khedr scored a late winner as ZED defeated 10-man Tala’ea El Gaish 1-0 at the Military Sports Authority Stadium. El Gaish played the second half with 10 men after Ahmed Waheed received a second yellow card before the interval.
ZED struggled to capitalise until Khedr struck in the 87th minute. The 20-year-old collected the ball outside the penalty area and fired into the top corner.
The goal came during Khedr’s first league appearance since returning to Egypt following his spell with Aston Villa’s youth side.
El Gaish almost equalised in stoppage time, but Ali Lotfi denied Ismail Ojoro’s header to preserve ZED’s first victory of the season.
ZED moved to ninth with four points. El Gaish remained fourth on six points after suffering their first defeat following two consecutive wins.
Shaaban Denies Wadi Degla
Canal SC goalkeeper Mohamed Shaaban saved a penalty as his side held Wadi Degla to a 0-0 draw at Al Salam Stadium. The Suez side almost opened the scoring shortly before half-time through Ibrahim Samy, who met a cross with a header that struck the post.
Shaaban then stopped Hamza Hassan’s free kick in the 58th minute before facing the same player from the penalty spot four minutes later.
The goalkeeper dived to his right and pushed Hassan’s attempt behind for a corner. Canal resisted sustained late pressure to secure a point.
Wadi Degla and Canal SC both moved to five points, occupying sixth and seventh respectively.
Tuesday’s matches followed a winning night for the leading sides. As KingFut reported on Monday, Pyramids maintained their perfect Premier League start by beating Al Masry 1-0, while Zamalek defeated Suez Petrojet 2-1 and El Bank El Ahly edged Asyut Petroleum 1-0.
