Egyptian forward Hamza Abdelkarim scored a first-half hat-trick as Barcelona U19 beat Montecarlo 9-0 on Sunday.
The Egyptian forward scored three times in 15 minutes to help Barcelona win the Group 3 title in the U19 División de Honor.
Nil Vicens opened the scoring in the ninth minute before Abdelkarim scored with headers in the 16th and 27th minutes. He completed his hat-trick in the 31st minute.
Barcelona added five more goals after the break, with Ebrima Tunkara scoring in the 49th minute, Oscar Gistau netting a hat-trick, and Álex González completing the scoring.
The result lifted Barcelona to 73 points at the top of Group 3. The group winners qualify for the Champions Cup, which determines the youth league champion and a place in next season’s UEFA Youth League.
Hamza Abdelkarim joined the youth setup at Barcelona on loan from Al Ahly until June 30, with an option to make the move permanent.
