Ibrahim Adel Nordsjælland

Ibrahim Adel registered his second consecutive assist after coming on at half-time in Nordsjælland’s 3-0 Superliga win away to Sønderjyske.

Ibrahim Adel set up Markus Walker’s second goal in the 60th minute in a victory that moved Nordsjælland level with Brøndby on 10 points at the top of the league standings.

The 25-year-old started on the bench after playing 61 minutes against St Gallen in the UEFA Conference League on Thursday. Coach Jens Fønsskov Olsen made six changes from that match as he managed his squad between the two European legs.

Walker gave Nordsjælland the lead in the 44th minute. He met Mark Brink’s pass with a first-time volley shortly before half-time.

Ibrahim Adel then came in at the start of the second half, supplying Walker with the pass that allowed the defender to double the visitors’ advantage 15 minutes later.

Villum Berthelsen completed the scoring in the 87th minute to secure Nordsjælland’s third straight league victory.

The Danish side have collected 10 points from their first four matches. They opened the campaign with a 1-1 draw against Horsens before beating Randers, Silkeborg and Sønderjyske.

The result also extended their run without conceding to 677 minutes across all competitions, according to Danish outlet Alt om Furesø.

Adel has now produced a goal contribution in three consecutive appearances. He scored an 80th-minute winner after coming off the bench against Silkeborg. He then assisted Nicklas Røjkjær’s 13th-minute goal in Thursday’s 1-0 Conference League win over St Gallen.

Nordsjælland will visit Switzerland for the return match on Thursday, August 27. They need to protect their one-goal advantage to reach the league phase.

Ibrahim Adel initially joined Nordsjælland on loan from Al Jazira in February. The Danish club activated their purchase option in May and signed him permanently until 2029.
