With only the official announcement remaining, the rumored deal will see the Pyramids winger link up with fellow Egyptian Mohamed Elneny ahead of next season. According to reports, Pyramids have agreed to sell Ibrahim Adel for a fee exceeding $3 million.

The 24-year-old had previously attracted interest from Europe since last summer, most notably from Getafe. The move to the LaLiga outfit ultimately fell through in the last minute after the player had completed his medical.

Despite this however, Ibrahim Adel enjoyed an impressive season with Pyramids, registering 15 goals and 12 assists in 35 appearances. Since joining from El Merreikh of Port Said, he has played 169 matches for the club, scoring 48 goals and providing 23 assists.

During his time with Pyramids, Adel helped the team win both the Egypt Cup and the CAF Champions League in back to back seasons, each for the first time in the club’s history.

On the international stage, he made history by featuring in both the Tokyo and Paris Olympic Games. The winger managed to score three goals in the latter and became the only Egyptian player to compete in two Olympic tournaments under the age of 23.

Ibrahim Adel has also earned 14 senior caps for Egypt, scoring twice, including a stunning long-range goal against Mauritania that secured the Pharaohs’ place at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Meanwhile, Al-Jazira finished seventh in the UAE Pro League last season with 37 points but did claim the UAE’s ADIB Cup after defeating Shabab Al-Ahli, with Elneny in the squad.
