Saudi giants Ittihad Jeddah have agreed a deal with AS Roma to sign Algerian midfielder Hossam Aouar and Spanish left-back Jan Oliveras.
The deal is expected to cost Ittihad €15 Million plus bonuses depending on appearances. Both players are set to sign for the Saudi club in the next few days, according to Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna.
Hossam Aouar, 26, is an Algerian international after switching his allegiance to The Desert Warriors last year. He had started his club career at Lyon, before moving to Roma in 2023, penning a five-year contract.
However, Aouar struggled for game time in Rome and decided to depart the club after just one season to embark on a new adventure in Saudi Arabia.
As for Oliveras, he is a Spain U-19 international left-back who has been playing for Roma since 2020 after moving from the youth team of FC Barcelona.
Oliveras has never represented Roma at the first-team level but made the bench on a couple of occasions last season.
Following a disastrous title-defending campaign, Ittihad Jeddah are trying to rebuild its squad for their new manager Laurent Blanc to compete again for the Saudi Pro League after finishing fifth last season.
