Veteran manager Khaled Eid has announced his departure from Tanta FC after just one game and four days in charge.
Tanta appointed Eid following the resignation of Mohamed Halim, who stepped down after a loss to El Sekka El Hadid Modern.
In his sole match as manager, Eid led Tanta to a draw against Kahraba El-Ismailia.
Speaking to ON TIME Sports 2, Eid said: “I apologize to the fans and the board; I cannot continue with the team. I will submit my resignation after the Kahraba El-Ismailia match.”
This marks Eid’s second stint with Tanta, having previously managed the club in the Egyptian Premier League. He has also coached Ghazl El-Mahalla, Tersana, El-Raja, and Baladiyat El-Mahalla.
Tanta’s season has been dismal, with just two points from six games, placing them 19th in the Egyptian Second Division. They have yet to secure a win, suffering four losses and two draws.
