Ahmed Hassan Kouka featured off the bench as Le Havre clinched their Ligue 1 survival in with a last-gasp victory over Strasbourg.

Kouka entered the game in the 63rd minute and appeared to score just four minutes later, but the goal was ruled out by the referee. At the time, the French side were trailing 2-1 after goals from Andrey Santos and Sebastian Nanasi had put Strasbourg ahead, with Abdoulaye Touré converting a penalty for Le Havre in between.

Josué Casimir equalized for the hosts in the 70th minute, setting up a frantic finish. Deep into stoppage time, Touré won another penalty and calmly converted it in the 97th minute, sealing a vital win that guaranteed Le Havre’s stay in the French top flight without needing a relegation playoff.

Ahmed Hassan Kouka was involved in a total of four goal in the league campaign this season, scoring three goals and assisting one. Le Havre finished 15th on 34 points.
