Liverpool’s hot prospect Alvin Ayman has reportedly pledged allegiance to represent the Egyptian national team.
Born in England to an Egyptian father and an English mother, Alvin has committed to playing for Egypt, according to journalist/scout Wassem Ahmed.
The teenager joined Liverpool’s youth academy last summer from Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers on a five-year deal. Liverpool paid Wolves $2.6 million (£2m/€2.4m) in compensation for the talented defender.
Ayman made the move to Liverpool after breaking into Wolves’ Under-18 squad the previous season. Remarkably, he had only joined Wolves from Bradford City a year earlier, having progressed through Bradford’s ranks since joining at U9 level.

Primarily a center-back, Ayman can also play in midfield. Last season, he made two appearances for Wolves in Premier League 2, facing Derby County and Everton’s U21 teams.
He also traveled with Wolves’ first team for a Premier League match against Manchester City.
