Leicester City are reportedly interested in signing Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush as part of new manager Ruud van Nistelrooy’s plans.
The Foxes recently parted ways with Steve Cooper and appointed former Manchester United and Real Madrid striker, Ruud van Nistelrooy, as head coach. According to Danish outlet, TipsBladet, the Dutchman has quickly turned his attention to Leicester’s attack and scouts were sent to watch Omar Marmoush in the Europa League.
Marmoush has been in exceptional form, recording 15 goals and 11 assists across all competitions this season. His impressive performances have also attracted interest from some of the biggest clubs in football such as Barcelona, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Liverpool.
Recent reports have suggested that Frankfurt would consider offers for their start forward between £42 million and £50 million. However, Leicester’s potential battle for the player’s signing would not be the price tag. The player has made it clear on multiple occasions his ambition to compete at the highest level, with recent reports claiming Liverpool would be the dream destination for Marmoush.
The 25-year-old would certainly be a significant boost for the Foxes. Whether van Nistelrooy’s side can secure Marmoush amid interest from top-tier rivals remains to be seen.
