Egypt international and Al Jazira midfielder Mohamed Elneny has been voted UAE Pro League Player of the Season for 2024–25.
Mohamed Elneny topped the fan vote ahead of Al Wahda’s Lucas Pimenta and Al Wasl’s Fabio Lima.
Elneny, who joined Al Jazira last summer on a free transfer, made 24 appearances last season, scoring once and providing three assists. He also helped the club lift the ADIB Cup, although they ended the league season in a disappointing position.
Speaking to Abu Dhabi Sports, the former Arsenal midfielder said: “I’m happy to be playing in the UAE Pro League. We won the UAE Cup, but I was very disappointed with our league position last season. We will work hard to improve that.”
“The UAE Pro League is very strong, with fierce competition and no guaranteed results,” he added. “Of course, I aim to win the league title this season with Al Jazira. It’s a dream for me and for the fans.”
Elneny, 33, has also previously earned the UAE Pro League Player of the Month award for April 2025.
