Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has jokingly stated that he considers himself as one of the greatest African footballers in history.

In a light hearted interview posted by France Football’s Ballon d’Or, Salah was asked asked a series of rapid questions.

One of the standout questions, was the first one. Mohamed Salah was asked who he believes holds the title of Africa’s greatest player. He jokingly replied, “Me.” Salah then added, “There are so many. I would say Didier [Drogba], [Samuel] Eto’o, and George Weah. ”

When asked about the best player he has ever played alongside, the Egyptian forward pointed to his former teammate at Chelsea. “I didn’t play with him in my peak, but I would say [Eden] Hazard.”

Mohamed Salah also revealed two players he wishes he could have shared the pitch with, Liverpool icon Steven Gerrard and French legend Thierry Henry.

As for his favorite manager, Salah named his manager during his years at AS Roma, Luciano Spalletti.

Asked to pick the best goal of his career, Salah highlighted his goal against Manchester City at Anfield in the Premier League, along with his memorable chip also against Man City, but in the Champions League.

Reflecting on his journey, Mohamed Salah said he has no regrets about his career decisions. When it came to naming the toughest defender he’s ever faced, he hesitated, “There are too many, I can’t name just one.”

Finally, when asked about the trophy that left the biggest impression on him, the Premier League Player of the Season didn’t hesitate, “Champions League.”
